When picking out your next piece of heaven, it’s important to know how it fairs fuel-economy-wise. At Mercedes-Benz of Hanover, we’ve written up an overview of the 2022 C-Class vehicles’ MPG and how they can be improved and hindered by outside forces. We’re here to help our customers around Hanover, Plymouth, and Braintree, MA, to learn more and make an informed choice going forward.
Starting at the top we see that the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C 300 comes with an EPA-estimated 25 city/35 highway MPG.* In its next version, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C 300 4MATIC®, it has an EPA-estimated 23 city/33 highway MPG.*
Now that you know about the MPG values of the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, let’s take a look at what can help you conserve all that fuel. The first piece of tech we’d like to highlight is the ECO-START®/Stop system. This automatically turns off the engine at stoplights and similar idling situations in order to save fuel and reduce emissions into the air. Once you lift your foot off the brake, the engine immediately jumps back to life, for instant acceleration response. This can also be manually deactivated if you choose to do so.
Another great feature to help your driving exploits while maintaining high MPG is the DYNAMIC SELECT feature. This is a multimode drive program selector that lets you transform the car’s character with the ease of a switch. There are a variety of modes like ECO, Comfort, and Sport, that can alter throttle response, shift points, steering effort, and the ECO Start/Stop system. There’s also an additional “Individual” mode that allows you to create a mode of your own, letting you set the transmission for purely manual shifting.
As we discussed in the previous section with the DYNAMIC SELECT feature, your vehicle is going to come prepared for inclement weather. However, you should be aware that tech only goes so far, and you need to be aware of the situation. For example, if you’re caught in a major rainstorm, visibility will be low and the roads slippery. You’re bound to use more fuel as you crawl through the storm than if it were clear skies.
Your own driving style impacts the MPG as well. Speeding, taking turns too fast, and the like, all put demand on your engine, which causes it to burn fuel that much faster. The smart decision is to drive at a steady pace, letting your car do the work.
Now that our customers around Hanover, Plymouth, and Braintree, Massachusetts, know about the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class MPG ratings, it’s time to act! Now is the perfect time to schedule a test drive of their own with us at Mercedes-Benz of Hanover!
*EPA estimated fuel economy. Compare the estimated mpg to the estimated mpg of other vehicles. You may get different mileage depending on how fast you drive, weather conditions and trip length. Your actual highway mileage will probably be less than the highway estimate.
